Reality with dreams
Propaganda was all ….
All that it seems
You heard it on the radio
And watched it on TV
In the cinema
as a Hollywood movie
And you washed it all down
With your Victory Gin
Because it made you feel good
and warm within
Some where in the city
there’s a funeral march
and nobody noticed
as it slowly went past
And the tears of the widow
were lost in the rain
And with Victory Gin
so was her pain
You try and recall
what they were fighting for  
But you couldn’t remember
a time without war
And you looked out the window
to the grey world below
The colours came flooding back
from a long time ago
And you washed it down
with your Victory Gin
because it made you feel good
and warm within
